In EYFS, we use an exciting way to record, track and share your child’s learning during their time in nursery and reception. At Yew Tree, we use Tapestry, which is an ‘online learning journal’, that enables staff to take photographs, videos and make written observations of some of the 'wow' activities your child does at school. Once set up, you can access this information through the Tapestry app or website (using your email address and a secure password to log in) so that you can celebrate their learning at home too. You can also add your own photos and comments to the journal, send us messages or ask any questions that you may have about your child in school. We set up a parents’ noticeboard for each class where general information and letters are posted, and find that this is a very effective way of keeping in touch and communicating with you as parents.
